We all have the need to leave a mark...

Cadillac Ranch

It is a 1970’s pop art installation along Interstate 40 in the Texas Panhandle. I have been aware of Cadillac Ranch for many years and my mental image was of gracious Cadillac’s faded, but in original coloring, nose down as if preparing their own tombs. I was taken aback to see the state of the cars covered in graffiti. Upon closer inspection, I became enamored with the colors, frivolity, and expressions incorporated by visitors and the playfulness in the intent of the original creators.
